  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and place it into the pie pan.
  3. Top pie crust with sausage, cheese, and onion. You can mix the sausage, cheese, and onion in a medium mixing bowl and then throw it into the pie crust. I prefer to layer it—one less dish to wash.
  4. Mix the eggs and half-and-half in a bowl with seasonings, and pour the egg mixture over the toppings in the pie crust.
  5. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Then reduce heat, leaving the pie in the oven at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and bake for an additional 35 minutes. When done, the quiche's top will start to turn a nice golden brown.
  6. Remove from oven and allow to sit 5-10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
