  1. Combine dry snacks: Place the cereal, cheese crackers, pretzels, and nuts into a large bowl.
  2. Seasoning: Mix together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne. Slowly drizzle the butter mixture over the cereal while tossing gently to coat.
  3. Bake: Preheat the oven to 250°F. Transfer the Chex Mix onto two baking sheets, spreading it into an even layer. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven and allow to cool before serving.

  • Mix—Ins and Variations: Substitute any of the following for a 1:1 ratio:

    • Cereal: I use 9 cups of Chex cereal for this recipe; swap whatever cereal you'd like.
    • Nut Allergy: Leave out the nuts and use extra crackers or pretzels.
  • Microwave Chex Mix: Cook in the microwave for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on a baking sheet and allow to cool before serving.
  • Slow Cooker Chex Mix: Dump the mixture into a slow cooker and cook for 3 hours on LOW, stirring every 45 minutes. Let cool on a baking sheet.
