- Combine dry snacks: Place the cereal, cheese crackers, pretzels, and nuts into a large bowl.
- Seasoning: Mix together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne. Slowly drizzle the butter mixture over the cereal while tossing gently to coat.
- Bake: Preheat the oven to 250°F. Transfer the Chex Mix onto two baking sheets, spreading it into an even layer. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool before serving.

- Freezing Instructions: Chex mix freezes great in a freezer-safe bag or container for up to 3 months.
- Mix—Ins and Variations: Substitute any of the following for a 1:1 ratio:
- Nuts: Pistachios, cashews, macadamia, or your favorite!

- Plain Cheerios
- Popcorn
- Corn Chips or Bugles

- Raisins
- Spicy: Add 1-2 tablespoons of Tabasco or hot pepper sauce to the sauce mixture.
- Sweet Chex Mix Recipe
- Cereal: I use 9 cups of Chex cereal for this recipe; swap whatever cereal you'd like.
- Nut Allergy: Leave out the nuts and use extra crackers or pretzels.
- Microwave Chex Mix: Cook in the microwave for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on a baking sheet and allow to cool before serving.
- Slow Cooker Chex Mix: Dump the mixture into a slow cooker and cook for 3 hours on LOW, stirring every 45 minutes. Let cool on a baking sheet.
