  1. In a large bowl, beat the cold milk with vanilla extract and vanilla pudding packets until it thickens. Pour in the condensed milk and beat to combine.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Add about two-thirds of the whipped cream into the pudding and gently fold it in with a spatula.
  3. Add the powdered sugar into the remaining one-third whipped cream and fold with a spatula to combine. Refrigerate until needed.
  4. In the bottom of your trifle bowl, place 1/4 vanilla wafers and 1/4 bananas.
  5. Spread 1/4 of the pudding over the bananas/wafers. Repeat with the remaining layers until you have four layers.
  6. Add the reserved whipped cream over the top of the pudding and decorate as desired. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours before serving.

Note

  • Make Ahead—assemble up to 24 hours in advance. Cover and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Enjoy the dessert within two days of making it.
  • Be sure to use INSTANT pudding mix.
  • For a less sweet banana pudding, use half of the sweetened condensed milk or add it to taste. Keep in mind that adding the whipped cream also mellows out the sweetness.
  • For single-serving desserts, assemble them in small cups or bowls using a piping bag to layer.
